My daughter had run the 5k. It was a dry bright start with a cold wind this morning. Unbelievably, we have reached our second birthday and our 100th run! Unfortunately nobody told the weather and we spent last last few days wondering if we would be able to go ahead as thunder was forecast. Fortunately the weather had been relatively dry over the past few days so we were able to use the grassy section of our course even if it was still a bit muddy. The volunteers (and equipment) got a good soaking while we were setting up but fortunately the rain cleared in time for the run.
